Now accepting our founding cohort

Tuition, mentorship, and a clear path forward —for the students who need it most.

Destined for Success connects first-generation and underserved students with donors and mentors. Donors help cover real costs. Mentors help guide the path to and through college.

Every student profile is reviewed before donors can connect.

How it works

Three kinds of support, one platform.

We don't hand out blank checks. Donors choose who they support, students show what they're working toward, and the relationship grows from there.

Direct tuition help

Donors send support straight to the student through an outside service. The platform never touches the money. Each gift is recorded with a screenshot so we can confirm the amount.

One-on-one mentorship

Students can ask for feedback on essays, get advice on internships, and check in with mentors through the platform's monitored chat. Calls are arranged through the mentor's own booking link.

College-prep resources

Curated guides for applications, financial aid, and career planning, so students aren't navigating the system alone.

For donors

Choose the student you support.

You decide who to support. You can see each student's goals, school, and what they need help with. You can message them and follow their progress.

  • Choose a student whose story matters to you
  • Give any amount, any time. There is no auto-billing
  • Follow their progress through updates and milestones
  • Every dollar goes to the student. Donations are personal gifts and are not tax-deductible

For students

You shouldn't have to figure this out alone.

Build a profile, share your goals, and connect with people who want to help. It is free to join and free to use, and we never take a cut of the support sent to you.

  • Apply in minutes at no cost
  • Receive support directly through the outside service you already use
  • Get free one-on-one guidance from mentors
  • Every gift is logged with a payment screenshot

FAQ

Honest answers to common questions.

Is Destined for Success a registered nonprofit?+

Not yet. We operate as a community platform while our 501(c)(3) application is in progress. Until it's granted, donations are personal gifts and are not tax-deductible — we'll update this site the moment that changes.

How much of my donation goes to the student?+

All of it. You send support directly to the student through an outside service of your choice. Destined for Success does not process, hold, or move the money, and takes no cut. The only fees that could apply are whatever the outside service you use normally charges.

How are students approved?+

Students apply with a school-issued email (ending in .edu or .org) and complete a full profile with their photo, school, and goals. Our team then reviews and approves every application by hand before it's visible to donors — no profile goes live automatically.

Can I contact a student directly?+

Yes. Once you sign up as a donor, you can message students through the platform. All messages stay on the platform and are reviewed for safety.

Ready to get started?

Whether you can give five dollars, five thousand, or an hour of your time, there is a student who could use your help.
